Funny Stuff: Things You Learn on Your Second Day in America

We are two days into our life together and things are going great!  It's amazing how different things are  for us now.  I continue to be amazed by the things that have changed for Minxi.  Here is today's list of funny

Things You Learn on Your Second Day in America

1.  You can drink water straight from the sink.

When we went shopping for the first time, Minxi was curious why we didn't buy any water.  Apparently, in China, you either buy bottled water or boil before drinking.  Note so self - Next time I am in China, Soda only!

2.  American heaters turn on and off by themselves.

I got a phone call today.  The heater was turning on and off by itself.  Am I really so spoiled that I had never imagined a world where you have to turn on your own heater?

3.  You have to be careful where you put your eggs in America.

Minxi was unaware that American refrigerators are broken into frozen and non-frozen sections.  We lost a dozen eggs finding this one out.

All and all we are off to a great start.  She loves the house is happily re-arranging everything.  I'm working hard but then coming home to a happy, warm (automatically warm) home.  Two days is too early to declare a solid win but we're having fun!
