Just a quick update on our K-1 visa Status. The government wrote back to me saying that they couldn't read the stamp on my divorce certificate. I sent them a new copy and they acknowledged receiving it in about four days.
Our case is now at the California service center which is, I think good news since the Texas service center always shows really long wait times.
I think that technically we are at stage three. Once we get to stage four, our case goes to the American Embassy in Guangzhou which is in Guangdong province, China and Minxi goes there for her interview.
Wish us luck. We're still hoping to have our K-1 Visa by November. I worry about bringing a sub-tropical southern Chinese girl like Minxi into Kansas just in time for it to get damn cold but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
