Hong Kong Zoological Park Chatter

The Zoological Park on Hong Kong Island is a pleasant walk through about a dozen cages spread around a light forest with as many flowers as trees.  As in all zoos, the animals seemed incredibly bored when we were there.   Minxi and I, as thousands of other zoo goers from across time, made up little conversations for them.   Also, as always, they were speaking with funny accents.

Hong Kong zoological park
"It's not either a diaper.  It's a loin cloth, damn ye.  Have ye never seen  Tarzan?"

Hong Kong zoological park
"'It's a Trap' I said, 'but did you listen to me?  Nooooo."
Hong Kong zoological park
Must Not Poop on Tail.  Must Not Poop on Tail."
This isn't an animal exactly we we found this...very macho tree in the
Hong Kong Zoological Park.  Not the kind of tree you'd laugh at in the shower.

Ernie Says What?

So Minxi and I were climbing through the mall on the way to the Peak on Hong Kong Island when she stopped to laugh at this sign:

Mysterious Sign

"What does it say?"  I asked.

"Oh, it's very bad."

"Yeah?  What does it say?"

She blushed a little.  "I can't say it."

Now I was curious.   Back in the U.S.A. Ernie was good for positive messages like, you can sleep in the same room as another man as long as you're both very tidy and carry your own condiments. "You can't say it at all or you don't know the English?"

"I don't know the English?"  She was still laughing obviously embarrassed.

"What word is it like?"

"It says, 'no pfuuuu pfuuuu.'  It's like if you say pfuuuuu  pfuuuuuu too loudly."

"What?"

"You know, pfuuuuu pfuuuuu."

Just then Cookie Monster explained it all to me:

Cookie Monster Explains it all for you
Oh, that no pfuuuuu pfuuuuu!  Some things just don't translate.

The Coolest Flight Tracking Software in the World.

Okay, I'm not a big one for cool gadgets, oh who am I kidding?  Yes I am, and here's the coolest.

Click to Go to Flightview

It's called Flightview and it's the coolest thing ever.  Click to visit the website.  They've got real time tracking data on every commercial flight in the air at all times.  You can look up flights by airline, flight number or origin city.  What makes flightview so fantastic is that not only does it give you the hours and minutes on your flight, it also gives you this cool little picture showing the flight path and where the plane is now.

"Okay kids, dad's still over Siberia right not but he should be home in about three more hours."

"Yeah!!!"

How cool is that?

I don't know how flight view operates but it's free for you to use so go ahead, see where flight 493 is. See how many flights there are coming into Hong Kong in the next hour.  It's a really cool toy.
